✨ Did you know??
I studied abroad in Cork, Ireland for 5 months in 2006!
💚 University College Cork (UCC)is in the Republic of Ireland’s 2nd biggest city, which sits on the magical River Lee.
💚 At UCC, I studied Ancient Irish Civilization and Irish Literature.
💚 We traveled all around Ireland, including Dublin, Cobh (pictured above), Killarney, and Belfast as well as the Antrim Coast, the latter 2 in Northern Ireland.
💚 Many of us even backpacked through Europe! I visited Amsterdam, Paris, Montepellier (France), and Barcelona.
💚 We planned travels to Italy, but Parisian riots thwarted this. (There’s much more to that harrowing story.)
I am (at least) 25% Irish! We Irish are very proud of our heritage. In Ireland, St. Patrick’s Day is a family occasion where all ages gather at pubs to enjoy food, music, dancing, and for those of-age: a pint.

💚 Did you know Ireland is home to beautiful palm trees?! I did not. This is a pic of Cobh (pronounced cove).
Here are 3 facts!
☘️ 100’s of passengers on the Titanic departed from Cobh
☘️ there is also a Victorian promenade along the Atlantic
☘️ you can likewise learn about the Queenstown Story
✨ This is the story of Irish Emigration. My father’s family emigrated from County Clare in the 1800’s.
