~ June is the national month of Pride + in Rochester, NY we also celebrate in July ~

🌈 Why is Pride important?? Because of:

•equity

•humanity 

•human rights 

•advocacy 

•love 

🌈 Just to name a few!!! How to celebrate??

•ACT as an ally, do not just identity as one 

•support + shop local goods that support Pride

•read books + articles by #LGBTQIA+ authors and about history 

🌈 Name your pronouns before inquiring about people’s so you get it right, and do not dead name. Do not. My pronouns are She/Hers.

•follow, like, + support local!!! 🏳️‍🌈 🏳️‍⚧️ 🏳️‍🌈

•I learn SO much from Lanni Maszerowski (they/them) of @lannimade + always have, especially about intersectionality including abelism + disability awareness 

🌈 Keep work + home, community + education Safe Spaces!!! I was able to take Safe Space Training to ensure more equity + empowerment at work and in life. Join-in on campus related events if you are involved in higher-ed, like those at Nazareth University

•consider donating to causes such as The Trevor Project that supports suicide prevention amongst LGBTQIA2S+ youth
